The Magalies MTB Adventure offers 2 stages. Riders have a choice however.
- The Cool Ideas Magalies Adventure - Ride Saturday and Sunday – 60km & 50km
- The Saturday Magalies Challenge – 60km
- The Saturday Mini Magalies – 30km
- The Sunday Magalies – 50km
- The Sunday Magalies – 40km
Saturday the 21st of November
Stage 1 : 60km. Here there will be a good mix of dirt road, jeep track and single track, and some technical ascents and descents. Please note that this is a fairly tough stage, and we do advise you to be reasonably fit.
After your race, you will have the chance to freshen up, and enjoy the afternoon with a few cold ones, or order something tasty from The Cog & Sprocket.
Sunday the 22nd of November
Stage 2: 50km, again offering a mix of all that makes mountain biking the sport that it is.
Saturday Mini: 30km for the younger and “not-so-fit” riders.
Sunday Magalies 50km – a nice challenge with a bit of technical stuff
Sunday Magalies 40km – almost no technical stuff
The Blossom Applewhite Memorial Ride – Sunday the 29th of September
In September 2018, a good friend and loyal support of The Leverage Corporation rides, Mike “Blossom” Applewhite suffered a sudden heart attack and died.
In memory of Bloss, we introduced in 2018, the Blossom Memorial Ride. Mike was a passionate supporter of the Bara Burns Unit. And so too we have adopted the Bara Burns Unit as our preferred Bloss Charity.
If you enter on the Sunday, R50 from your entry will go to the Bara Burns Unit. They will also be in attendance on the Sunday, so should you wish to pledge more to the unit, you will be able to chat to them directly.
This is a Pre-Entry Event and entries will close on Sunday the 15th of November. Entries are limited, so we suggest that you go online today and reserve your place.
After online entries close, cyclists will only be able to do a “Late entry” at rider registration on Wednesday the 18th of November. Cash is required for late entries.
Included in your Entry:
- Event T-Shirt – Valid for pre-entries only
- The Cool Ideas bikewash after each stage (obviously for cyclists)
